April 2026 - An up to date list of insurers our acupuncturists are covered to work with.
Please always check with your insurance company before commencing treatment as inclusion criteria can change. Feel free to email us for any further support.
Aviva - technically yes but Aviva require Healthcode membership to register. We are currently looking at alternatives with Aviva to avoid subscribing to Healthcode.
AXA Health – Yes. Patient pays acupuncturist directly and submits receipt themselves for reimbursment (for healthcare cash plans). For some other policies we have to invoice AXA separately and we may charge an admin charge for doing so.
Benenden Health – Yes, patients can self refer to us. Patients pay us directly and submit receipt for reimbursment.
Birmingham Hospital Saturday Fund – Yes, patients can self refer to clinic. Check with BHSF full level of reimbursment.
General and Medical – Yes, GP / specialist referral only. Must be authorised prior to booking.
Healthshield – Yes, patients can usually self refer. Patients pay acupuncturist directly and submit receipts for reimbursment.
HSF – Yes, patients can self refer. Patients pay us directly and sumit receipts for reimbursent.
Medicash – Yes, patients can self refer. Patients pay acupuncturist directly and sumit receipts for reimbursent.
National Friendly – Yes, GP /specialist referral needed. Authorisation from NF needed prior to booking.
Orchard Healthcare – covered under some policies. Check with your insurers before booking.
Simply Health – Yes, patients can self refer. Patients pay acupuncturist directly and sumit receipts for reimbursent.
Sovereign Health Care – Yes, patients can self refer. Patients pay us directly and sumit receipts for reimbursent. Check with SHC first please as policies inclusions can change.
The Exeter – Yes, GP / specialist referral. Authoristion needed first from The Exeter and your acupuncturist.
Vitality – No. Whilst Vitality does cover acupuncture it does not pay out the full fee to acupuncturists, physiotherapists and osteopaths. We are happy to provide you a receipt for Vitality but will not undertake work on behalf on them.
Westfield Health – Yes, GP / specialist referral.
WHA healthcare – Yes, but policies differ. Patients can usually self refer but not for pre-existing conditions. Check with WHA first.
WPA – Yes, GP / specialist referral needed.
